Shamira Hadara
born 1/11/2007
STATUS: She has gone to her new home!
A Hebrew name meaning "Adorned with beauty".
Born with a 'wooly', curly coat; she looked like a little black lamb.
At this stage, she is a brush coat. The brush is a kinky, wavy coat that has a coarse feel. She may still end up a velour coat (+/- 1/4" length) but, since she has a fair bit of hair inside her ears, she is not likely to lose all her coat.
The brush is a wonderfully unique coat; the only other breed that can have a brush coat is our foundation breed, the Donskoy.
She is a headstrong little one, and is very intelligent. She is outgoing and friendly, but
certainly knows how to make sure her opinions are known!

Hadara is now almost 7 months old but is still a kitten photo 7/31 |
This may not be the best photo, but ere she is next to Cirin, an adult male PD, and you can see that she is still pretty small. |
PD at play :) Don't forget to check out the videos for more of Hadara in action! photo 7/31 |
Pretty kitten :) photo 7/31 |
This one shows her unique, brush coat. It is soft on her belly and and not soft on her back . |
![]() She is really quite dark black' I often have to lighten the photos quite a bit so you can see detail better. photo 7/31 |
I do like this photo of these 2 kittens :) photo 7/31 |

This will probably be the last update to Hadara's page. She is really sweet and very cute (but we already know I am bias ;) ) |

This little Peterbald had been reserved, and the family who had planned on adopting her had decided on a different kitten. She is very intelligent and curious, and not quite as ...painfully affectionate as some Peterbalds can be. She is, however, still people oriented and sweet. |

She is just too cute :P |

It is not her 'hariness' that makes her pet quality. See the dip in the profile? Her nose should be a straight line from her brow to her nose. A slight dip can grow into a straight profile in time as the head lengthens. This one is just a little too deep. It will improve, but should not end up totally straight... |

Well, I am not yet seeing any coat loss here, but we'll just keep watching over the next few weeks. She will most likely end up a velour coat adult cat, which is not hairless but is a short fur that lacks an undercoat, sheds very little, and feels, well, sort of like the soft side of velcro. I'll let you know if I start to see a different hair loss pattern~ |
