Latin in origin, this name means 'mother'.
This little female Peterbald kitten is a straight coat, chocolate ticked tabby.
Her coat will be very similar to an Oriental Short Hair or Siamese as an adult;
very short, close-lying, no undercoat, and sheds very little.
Unfortunately, the melamine-tainted food touched too close to home.
We lost 2 babies to kidney failure after spending a long, sad, and frusturating day at the vet with this baby girl and her brother.
These two were smaller than their littermates and began to eat kibble earlier than the rest.
The quantity of (I thought) high-quality foods that were on those lists was staggering.
Now we use only holistic, organic, and/or human grade ingredient foods for all of our furry (and fur-less) friends.
The loss of these two kittens this way is a senseless shame. We miss them terribly.

At this point, she is very quiet and observant. She is less active than her siblings, preferring to hang out and watch all the action. But she is awfully cute ;) |
